Responsible for the authoring and editing of transmission diagnostics to help dealers pinpoint transmission faults, initiate the correct repairs and activate calibration routines for replacement transmissions.I was involved in the management and authoring of diagnostics content to meet vehicle launch requirements. Authoring of transmission diagnostic sets to cover three transmission derivatives to be installed into four separate carlines within tight deadlines. I was also involved in the development of diagnostics for fault finding and troubleshooting transmission issues in order to reduce associated warranty costs. My daily tasks included:o Liaising with the requesting engineers and constructing outlines for diagnostic needs and requirements.o Authoring tests with verification for correct function through vehicle communications emulation. o Publishing content for carlines and testing with an example of each vehicle derivative through OBD2 port diagnostics and data analysis. Show less I was responsible for the project management and engineering of test machines on engine assembly lines. I was involved in the re-tool of a new line of diesel engines and to provide ongoing engineering support during the production trial runs. I was also involved in testing new engine systems throughout the assembly process. Lastly, I worked closely with plant staff and operators to solve any issues relating to test processes and general test quality. My daily activities included:• Planning and managing machine installations and re-tools from initial design to final verification.• Developing test processes to ensure full validation of engine durability and part quality.• Performing analysis on acquired waveform data including sensor recordings and NVH analysis.• Generating reports detailing engine/part failures based on recorded data.• Liaising with operators, group leaders and plant engineers to solve test machine issues.
