  During the second wave of COVID-19, a question struck our minds - Can photography lift the mood of children and put a smile on their faces despite all the hardship world is facing from? Every picture has a deeper meaning and depicts a emotion. Sometimes even words cannot describe the feeling captured. “That’s when ‘ENSNARING FEELING’ was born. It’s a amalgamation of PHOTOGRAPHY and PERSPECTIVE where the photographers of SVIS where given a chance to provide their feelings behind the image. With the objective of raising awareness and drawing children’s attention to the intriguing world of photography, training sessions for children from classes 6-10 were organized and they were also asked to submit a picture clicked by them and share their perspective behind it. A total of 100 registrations were received. It was a stupendous session seeing the students speaking their heart out. A short movie was made on “ The Life of a photographer” depicting the hardships and the struggles faced by every photographer but overcoming it, is what makes you a step closer towards your goal. Every participant had a smile on their face irrespective of the fact whether they have won or not.   ‘Levée’, a SVIS students-led organization aims to bring unique experiences to students in the field of debating and public speaking. Competitions like ‘Behes’ and ‘World Scholars Cup’ acts as a great platform for shaping children’s debating and public speaking skills but students merely are able to scratch the surface due to limited understanding of different formats of debating especially the foreign formats. These limitations thus reduce their chances to win different national and international competitions.At SVIS, we believe that it’s time to do beyond these national competitions and start introducing our students to latest global formats of debating and public speaking. This training will go a long way in making sure that our students are well-aware and well-equipped with razor sharp skills in debating and public speaking which in-turn will open new vistas for them.With this focus in mind, ‘Levée’ organized a week-long debate training camp where well qualified adjudicators guided students with new techniques and new formats. A two-day competition on June 4-5, 2021 was organized where students put to use skills acquired during the camp. The training sessions focused on global formats like British Parliamentary, Spontaneous Argumentation Format, German Parliamentary and Paris Format.An overwhelming response with over 300 entries were received.   During my tenure I worked on the following campaigns:Bread and Milk Campaign: The campaign was about feeding the hungry, creating awareness about zero wastage of food, and the importance of sharing. During the campaign, I fed over 100 people.Red Dot Campaign: The campaign was about creating awareness amongst adolescent girls and distributing of sanitary napkins for better health and hygiene. I was tasked with raising funds for the campaign. Paryavaran Campaign: The campaign aimed at creating awareness about the environment and planting saplings. We planted over 1000 trees in a period of one week. Hygiene Campaign: The campaign was aimed at creating awareness about Covid and distribution of masks, sanitizer, and gloves to sanitation staff, orphanages, and the destitute. This internship was an eye-opener for me as I interacted with different individuals and got to know more about the hardships people face to even earn a meager amount for their sustainability.
