  Trust Finance Manager ‘’The Arbib Education Trust’’ is a sponsor led multi academy trust (MAT) comprising a secondary academy and two primary academies. My role as Trust finance manager is to support finance director to provide efficient management of the Trust’s finances and sites in accordance with Academies Financial Handbook (AFH). Due to structure and size of the Trust, I am responsible to build and maintain business partnering with Executive Principal, Head Teachers and other leadership teams in each academy for effective financial planning, management and reporting to the Governing Body/Business Committee.Major Achievements: Successfully supervised maintenance of Trust financial records and its individual academies without missing a single reporting deadline.  Streamlined and simplified Trust’s in-house 300 plus staff payroll system for complexities pertaining to Teachers’ Pension and Local Government Pension Schemes. Devised a comprehensive policy for maintenance of Trust’s cash flows in view of its long term forecast, capital projects and investment of surplus reserves in most profitable and risk-averse ventures.  Prepared surplus annual budgets and delivered actual surplus reserves despite the uncertainties around National Funding Formula as well as decreasing pupil numbers in one of the primary academies.  Successfully challenged funding and policy guidance with the Department for Education (DfE) resulting in increased funding.  Brought effective changes in reporting format of information to Business Committee in order to facilitate understanding by non accountant committee members.
