      Responsible for the development, implementation and effectiveness of Colonial’s operational safety programs, policies and procedures including the administration of the SMS program.Develop and lead team members to support and partner with Operations, Technology to ensure Colonial’s actions and initiatives help reduce operational safety risks, prevent incidents, improve safety culture, and align with corporate strategy.Ensure continuous improvement of Colonial’s PSM, MOC, and Incident Investigation and Near Miss programs. Show less Ensure Colonial’s Control Rooms meet CFR 195.446 Control Room Management including training, program development and implementation for our Operations team.Developed a new CRM training philosophy, program, and material for operations to provide training on Roles and Responsibilities, Abnormal & Emergency Operations / Lessons Learned, Alarm Management, Fatigue, and Team Training with a 90% improvement rating.Provide ownership for Colonial’s CRM Plan including: plan updates, annual reviews, reporting, training, audits, point-to-point documentation, as well as Alarm Management processes.Primary POC for (PHMSA) under DOT with regards to CRM and Alarm Management. Review, interpret, propose and implement compliance standards, develop and implement improvement plans for Colonial’s CRM Program.Developed Colonial’s Alarm Management Plan and program with implementation in 2012 across 14 separate Control Rooms.Maintain Colonial’s alarm systems to meet API1167 requirements and related standards such as EEMUA191 and ISA18.02.Review monthly alarm system report data. Ensure reports and procedures for Alarm Management; top alarms, daily alarms, alarm floods, nuisance alarms, and activation of safety related alarms are completed and maintained. Overall alarm reduction of 73% from 2012-2017.Perform annual workload study for the Alpharetta Control Room and manage outside contractor support for field Control Room workload studies to determine if operations require balancing to manage workload.Manage Colonial’s Fatigue Risk Management System utilizing the FAID software application to validate work schedules, Controller fatigue levels, and documentation.Developed new process for training of annual AOC and EOC procedures training utilizing industry lessons learned to provide real world applications during training. Incorporated TurningPoint application for scoring and assessment of Controller performance during training to improve documentation and participation. Show less Ensure Control Centers meet Colonial’s AMP requirements under CRM. Provide leadership and manage Alarm Champions in rationalization, monthly reporting, documentation, point-to-point, as well as resolving alarm issues as they arise. Reviews, interprets, proposes and implements compliance standards, develops and implements compliance improvement plans when the opportunity arises for improvements within the AMP.Serves as the primary point of contact for (PHMSA) under DOT with regards to Alarm Management. Maintain and manage Colonial Pipeline's alarms to meet API 1167 requirements and other related standards such as EEMUA 191 and ISA 18.02.Provide ownership and leadership for Colonial’s AMP including: plan updates, annual reviews, reporting, training, internal and external audits, point-to-point documentation, and other alarm management processes.Perform monthly alarm system review. Maintain detailed reports and procedures for Alarm Management to include top 50/25/25/25 alarms; daily alarms, alarm floods, nuisance alarms, and activation of safety related alarms cross-referenced to Maximo reports.Maintain Colonial’s Alarm Knowledge Base (AKB) using LogMate alarm management software and ensure that Alarm Champions update changes to site specific alarm lists.Coordinate with SCADA group to ensure effective management techniques are developed to record, sort, and track the volume of alarms received by each controller console. Assist with graphic display development and modifications.Perform internal audits on the alarm system and prepare for internal and external audits related to the Alarm Management program. Effectively manage and communicate monthly alarm management reports to all Control Centers, assist with point-to-point checkouts and document retention on SharePoint.Identify, evaluate, create and develop opportunities to optimize the alarm system while providing regular reporting of key metrics, progress, and performance on monthly basis.
