  Wild South is a non-profit organization committed to the conservation of the natural environment of the South. While working as an intern, I: • Coordinated the application process for regulatory licenses to solicit in AL and MS. • Facilitated an office supply and equipment purge, clean-up and re-organization effort. • Accounted for all money brought in by the 2011 annual appeal and other events. • Prepped all financials for bookkeeper. • Interfaced with volunteers, staff, and board of directors. • Manned the office when other staff were out of the office. • Researched and wrote several articles for Wild South Quarterly. • Increased attendance to “Let Heaven and Nature Sing” at Mountain Wildlife Days through friendly correspondence with churches in the Buncombe, Henderson, and Transylvania counties. • Put together and mailed the 2010 annual appeal and accounted for all money accumulated. • Administered day-to-day business functions, including managing finances and paying bills.   Startalk is an organization that promotes the learning of languages for use in a global economy. During my time as an administrative assistant I prepped and organized resources to display at the Startalk Fall Conference and edited correspondence emails, the application, the special project grant proposal, and the Startalk grant proposal. Additionally, I attended the Startalk Fall Conference to help present Wofford's program. I help students better understand the material they are learning in the classroom.
