      Apr 2018 - Sept 2018
      Event Host and Serving Staff

I worked as a server in the Clubhouse restaurant. In the restaurant, I practiced basic bartending skills, waiting on tables, and effectively serving and managing large groups of people with different needs. In addition to working as a member of the wait staff, I hosted large weddings and gold tournaments with hundreds of attendees. I helped to prepare buffets and ensure the smooth operations of complicated events.

    • Bing Concert Hall

      Oct 2018 - Jun 2019
      Stage Crew Member

I was a member of a small stage crew at Bing Concert Hall at Stanford University. My responsibilities included assembling/disassembling risers, moving large instruments, communicating with and meeting the needs of guest artists, and general labor during concerts and other performances.

    • Greenwood Music Camp

      Jul 2019 - Aug 2019
      Counselor and Violin Teacher

I spent 7 weeks living with and playing chamber music with 60 campers aging from 12-18 years old. In these 7 weeks, I worked closely with a small team of co-staff to plan daily activities and larger camp activities/trips. I helped quartets and individuals rehearse in order to improve performance quality and impact. While living so closely with high school aged musicians, I gained valuable experience mentoring them about intentional, community-based living, college admissions, and classical music. Show less

    • Inian Islands Institute

      Jul 2020 - Aug 2020
      Solar Installation Intern

I recently worked on installing a small array of solar panels at the Inian Islands Institute, off the coast of Gustavus, AK. Before getting to the island, I planned the array's wiring and configuration, purchased parts, and got parts to the island. Once I was on the island, I worked to wire the panels, and install them on a roof. In this process, I helped to plan a safety system using ropes and scaffolding that was needed in order to install the panels on a steep, metal roof. I really enjoyed problem solving in bush Alaska! • Idemitsu Renewables

      Oct 2020 - Jun 2021
      Finance and Development Consultant

I worked closely with the finance and development teams at Idemitsu to run financial models for utility scale solar and storage projects. I became familiar with the inner workings of tax equity financing and solar M&A. In addition to running financial models, I worked to deepen the company's understanding of the revenue structures behind energy storage projects in California and other states.

    • Stanford University

      Mar 2021 - Jun 2022

I worked as 1 of 6 residential assistants in an all freshman dorm with 90 students at Stanford. In this role, I helped to plan activities for the entire house, including a prom on a boat in the San Francisco Bay, a sober rave for 400 freshman, and countless smaller events throughout the year. I also acted as a support person for the freshman and my fellow co-staff. This role was a constant practice in working with a small team on sometimes urgent problems and long term community building efforts. In addition to the above roles, I took on the role of treasurer for our dorm, where I managed a budget of nearly $40,000. I tracked expenses, planned how to distribute our money over the course of the year, and communicated frequently with university administrators during a tumultuous time at Stanford in order to create the best environment possible for my residents. I worked as an intern at Woodard and Curran assisting with electrical design for waste water treatment plants in Maine. I got experience working with lighting design in AGI32, drawing diagrams and plans in AutoCAD, and lots of exposure to the NEC and how we us it as electrical design engineers. I got to work on a large variety of projects at Woodard and Curran and loved learning about all of the different types of roles that electrical engineers take on at a consulting firm. Thanks to everyone at W&C for a great summer! Show less

    • Alaska Center for Energy and Power (ACEP)

      Jun 2022 - Jan 2023
      Electrical Engineering Research Intern

Most recently I have been working on increasing the speed at which our software can process data from tests of a grid-forming inverter in the power systems integration lab in Fairbanks. This involves taking the simulink programs that currently perform the signal processing and translating them into scripts in other languages in order to make the program quicker. I am working at ACEP and assisting with techno-economic analysis of infrastructure upgrades in the Northwest Arctic, including a new hydroelectric project, additional battery storage, thermal storage, air source heat pumps, etc. Show less
