  Tourism New Zealand owns Qualmark Ltd, a sophisticated star grading system for tourism accommodations and activities. Over the years additional criteria were developed to include luxury lodges and eco-friendly business practices.Achievements & projectsFor six years I was accommodation assessor. During that period I helped define two new sets of assessment criteria - for luxury accommodation and for Qualmark green. I have also coordinated and assisted in several criteria reviews .

  Maniapoto FM Radio is the regional Maori Iwi Radio Station for the Waikato Region.Achievements: -Assisting with fundraiser concert and auction for the Christchurch earthquake. -Marketing research project (500+ street interviews, coordinating focus group, listener panel and research paper) - Initiating, fundraising and coordinating the regional showcase workshop and concert for the NZ Maori Waiata Music Awards. The regional showcase consisted of a NZ$50.000 talent search in the MFM broadcast region, followed by a workshop for 10 finalists and recording contract & TV performance for the winner. Show less

  Timber trail accommodation & booking -network for cycle trail reservations

  The Timbertrail is one of the 23 great rides of the New Zealand Cycle Trail taking you through the ancient native Pureora forest . There was no infrastructure for visitors and cyclists, no accommodation, shops or restaurants directly on the two- day trail. Timbertrail accommodation brought together locals on an easy to use website and started promotion. These days along the cycle trail there are glamping and camping options, shuttle operators and a lodge at the halfway point. The Timbertrail is a do-able challenge for fit people and a great training ride for athletes. My insiders tip is The Ongarue Flashpackers. Show less

For visitors who came to cycle the Timbertrail or walk Te Araroa pathway it provided accommodation, meals & transfers.   Music makes memories

  Music has always been part of my life. Parallel with 'the day job' I've been privileged to sing with some great musicians. In the '80s it was a full-time occupation with highlights like making an album with Brian Batie, performing with the Glenn Miller Orchestra and the Metropole Orkest.I mention two people here with whom I've worked in New ZealandSarah Bradley hosted a daily TV show for NZTV and we met during the production's summer break of 2010 - There was just enough time to write and start performing house-concerts. We've become great friends, did five different shows over the next years and sealed it with a CD-Wine,Women & Song.Guitar Fusion was a collaboration with talented Chris Webber, a great guitarist and caring human being. His solo performances are inspired by Spanish and Latin guitar music with a mixture of flamenco fusion. Together we performed and jammed at the Princes Gate Hotel in Rotorua. Show less
