  Administration/Management, Curriculum/Program Development, Development and the heavy use of Industrial/Technology Program Advisory Committies, budget development and management; Community Outreach and involvement with groups like the Rotary Club or the Chamber of Commerce; developing faculty profiles and the announcement/interviewing/hiring process; evaluating faculty/staff; hiring faculty/staff; terminating faculty/staff; developing meeting agendas and holding meetings; maintaining a very good filing system; using proper telephone/email techniques in communication with any and all individuals and organizations; having regular faculty/staff meetings to make sure everyone is on the same grid; also, walk around, visit classrooms and drop in on laboratory sessions and/or just make regular trips to the cafeteria for a cup of coffee to meet folks and have a friendly conversation is very important!
