      Team Leader for auditing of collection sites in the National Air Deposition Program for Acid Rain and Atmospheric Mercury; Performed various types of laboratory analysis including Gas Chromatography: As an intern, set up protocols fer a rapid response on-site GC analysis team which was deployed to monitor atmospheric conditions in an underground coal mine in response to a fire.

      Managing all academic laboratory facilities for he WSSU Department of Chemistry. Responsible for setup of all academic Laboratory classrooms. Handles routine maintenance and service of all departmental instrumentation, including GC, GCMS, FT-IR, UV-Vis, NMR, HPLC, Flourescence, Karl Fisher, Flame AAS. Responsible for training of students and new faculty on all equipment. Handles purchasing and of supplies and chemicals while maintaining inventory of all chemicals. Aided in the development of new classroom experiments as well as advise faculty and participate in various research projects resulting in several peer reviewed publications and conference presentations. Have given talks on GCMS in the 'Extreme Forensics Program' developed by Dr. A. Bakarr Kanu of the WSSU Department of Chemistry. Have often substituted for various faculty members, giving lectures in General, Organic, and Analytical Chemistry. Current in HAZWOPER and Laboratory Safety training. Currently a member of the WSSU Institutional Bio-safety Committee. Show less
