In July 2011, more than 50% of this closeout workload remained outstanding and a majority of these included Basic Ordering Agreements (BOAs). Closeout efforts were difficult as it required coordination/cooperation from other field offices in order to closeout basic awards. In July 2011, I was assigned the lead role for this project to ensure an aggressive approach was taken to eliminate the backlog and meet the NAVFAC SW goal of 3% monthly reduction. As a result, the backlog of approximately 85 BOAs were decreased to 3 which were dependent on other offices final completion. Show less
