Project: Quantifying the error forecast for aggregate transit demand prediction models under highly dynamic conditionsResearch project focusing on the effects of COVID on the ridership of the TransMileno BRT system in Bogota, Colombia, and the accuracy of transit demand prediction models in capturing and predicting for such dynamic changes. Performed time-series forecasting and analysis by applying ARIMA and SARIMA models to large set of transit demand data. Designed the methodology for the analysis, implemented it in Python, and interpreted results. Show less

Projects: (1) Quantifying temperature impacts on electricity load across the continental US, (2) Evaluating drought impacts on hydropower production in the Western US(1) Applied NREL methodology to produce correlations between daily temperatures and electricity loads across the US to determine which regions experienced greater demand due to temperature variations. Developed a multiple linear regression modeling methodology, implemented it in Python, and interpreted results. (2) Identified research gap in how conservation and water use patterns during drought may impact hydropower generation in the Western US. Developed a methodology to study the correlation between sectoral water use and hydropower generation. Show less
