  I undertook 5 placements while on the graduate scheme at Devonport Royal Dockyard; a busy naval marine operational site where I gained varied experience and competencies in line with UK CEng specification.I was commended for excellent communication, problem solving and commitmentto project delivery, achieving "Exceeded Expectations" in all reviews.• I independently designed a bespoke aluminium superstructure for a high-spec small fast boat to stakeholder requirements. I produced a set of models and engineering drawings using AutoCAD Inventor before holding responsibility for overseeing procurement and manufacture. The completed system was delivered to budget and schedule.• As a marine surveyor I assisted with performing structural and dimensional surveys of marine assets utilising laser measurement, 3D scanning, and non-destructive evaluation.• Reviewed literature and data and applied findings to develop an alternativestrategy for technical academic engagement between Babcock and partneruniversities. Outcomes formed the foundation for changes in internal policy.• As a project engineer I managed technical and engineering aspects of work packages as part of civilinfrastructure upgrades in a nuclear facility.   IDCORE is a four-year Engineering Doctorate (EngD) programme to train the next-generation of leading offshore renewable engineers. The progrmme includes a taught first year followed by a three year research project based at a sponsoring company. IDCORE is a partnership between The University of Edinburgh, University of Exeter, Strathclyde University, and the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS)I am currently in my first year completing a range of modules based at the University of Edinburgh to gain key skills in preparation for beginning my doctoral research project.
