      Research Assistant

As a Research Assistant at Aalto University’s Department of Applied Physics, I contributed to cutting-edge projects focused on electron optics in graphene. My primary role involved developing a tight-binding model to simulate electron transport across monolayer graphene in Hall bar geometries with quantum point contacts (QPCs), optimizing their shape and placement to mitigate Klein tunneling effects. Additionally, I calibrated a high-precision arbitrary waveform generator to create Lorentzian voltage pulses for single-electron excitations, known as "Levitons," enabling investigations into their dynamics and potential applications in quantum information processing. My work provided valuable insights into the interplay between electron optics and quantum phenomena, laying the groundwork for future advancements in the field. Show less
