  Residence Hall Association has allowed me to represent and be the voice for every resident on Miami University's campus. My position as Internal Affairs Director gave me the opportunity to network with other organizations on campus and with higher level employees at Miami. I delegated tasks to a committee that sat under me and learned how to communicate with them and my other executive members.   Miami university athletics - event and facility management

  During the 2016 season, I served as the sport coordinator for the varsity volleyball team. As sport coordinator, it was my responsibility to contact visiting teams and officials weeks prior to the match with information for their arrival. I coordinated with the teams and officials to verify their arrival times, pass lists, staff numbers, payment for officials, and any requests they may have. On game days I delegated tasks to other interns, oversaw the set up of the concourse, visiting team and official locker rooms, and placed the ushers. Throughout the match, I monitored ball shaggers, event staff, and spectators.I recently served as the sport coordinator for the Miami Swim Invitational and Women's Swimming Mid-American Conference Championship. My duties included scheduling timers, ordering food for the hospitality room, and coordinating with the aquatic center staff and senior administration. I created a new scheduling system for swim meet timers that saved the department $1,500 and can continue to save the department money. Show less

  As I have joined the University of Wisconsin Event Management team, my responsibilities have grown from updating documents to leading and coordinating UW Athletics produced events with multiple departments. During my first year at UW, I served as Tournament Director at Women's ITA National Indoor Championships, lead contact for a partnered event with Madison Area Sports Commission, and assisted other event managers with their events. Along with event management, I have worked closely with the Guest Services department with the goal to make a pleasurable game day experience for our fans. This has involved enhancing our fan text message system, training and leading student employees, and communicating with contracted security. Show less
