The class decided to design a partially buried, five million gallon rectangular concrete reservoir with steel reinforcement. This reservoir was designed to act as an equalization basin that would absorb daily fluctuation in water demand. This reservoir would theoretically meet Salt Lake City's water demands during peak flow, fire suppression, and emergency situations. I was a member of the hydraulics team, and was in charge of determining the hydraulic components and connections to the reservoir. Show less
