      Teaching Assistant (Transition Unit)

      This was a permanent, full-time (37 ½ hours) position within a primary school context. For three months I supported an early intervention teacher at the ‘Transition Unit’ (TU) on Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. The purpose of the unit was to help students displaying severe speech and language delays and behavioural issues, improve their learning and meet the requirements of the KS1 national curriculum. The end goal was to eventually ‘transition’ the students back to their mainstream classrooms after spending the year in this provision. Show less
