  As a State Coordinator for WIN (Women Impacting Nigeria), I had the privilege of spearheading a successful partnership with the Child Support Initiative during a period poverty outreach at Baptist Girls Idi aba in Abeokuta.   Description:As the Project Lead for Hike Against Rape, I spearheaded a significant advocacy event aimed at raising awareness about the issue of rape and promoting community engagement in combating it. This initiative brought together diverse organizations, government security agencies, and community members to take a collective stand against sexual violence.Key Accomplishments:Successfully brought together a coalition of organizations, both local and international, forming strategic partnerships to enhance the impact of the event. These collaborations amplified the reach and effectiveness of our message, fostering a united front against rape.Engaged with government security agencies to secure their support and presence during the event, ensuring the safety and well-being of participants. Through effective coordination and clear communication, we established a secure environment for all attendees.Facilitated pre-event awareness campaigns and workshops, educating the community on the issue of rape, consent, and available support services.   Description:As the Project Manager of the She Needs a Pad Project, a targeted initiative aimed at underprivileged girls and women, I had the privilege of leading the Ogun State team and coordinating volunteers for a three-day advocacy outreach on period education. Through this volunteering experience, we empowered girls and women by introducing them to reusable pads and providing training on how to make their own.Key Accomplishments:Organized and led a team of dedicated volunteers for a successful three-day advocacy outreach on period education in Ogun State.Collaborated with local schools, a church, and conducted a street campaign to reach a diverse audience and raise awareness about menstrual health.Introduced the concept of reusable pads to underprivileged girls and women, providing them with a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to disposable pads.Conducted comprehensive training sessions, equipping girls and women with the skills and knowledge to make their own reusable pads, ensuring they have access to menstrual products.Impact:Empowered girls and women by providing them with the tools and knowledge to manage their menstrual health in a sustainable and dignified manner.Raised awareness about menstrual health and hygiene, breaking taboos and promoting open discussions within the community.Contributed to reducing the financial burden of menstrual products on underprivileged girls and women by introducing reusable pads as a viable solution.Fostering a sense of self-sufficiency and independence by teaching participants how to create their own reusable pads.This volunteer experience allowed me to combine my passion for women's empowerment, sustainable solutions, and community outreach.   As the first staff at Zykas Widows Organization, I played a pivotal role in establishing the organization from the ground up. Taking on the responsibility of a one-man team, I led the efforts to bring structure and direction to the organization's operations.Successfully spearheaded a welfare initiative for widows, visiting them on October 1st, 2022, and providing vital support such as cash, food supplies, and counseling. This compassionate outreach program aimed to alleviate their hardships and bring hope and comfort to their lives.Organized a festive outreach program, dedicated to assisting widows during the holiday season. Coordinating efforts, we provided food supplies and financial assistance, ensuring that these vulnerable individuals could celebrate with dignity and joy.Commemorated the International Day of the Girl Child by facilitating the return of a young girl, whose education had been disrupted due to financial constraints. Through the provision of funds and support, we empowered her to resume her studies and pursue her dreams.Implemented a recurring initiative to provide educational supplies to widows' children, ensuring they had the necessary resources to thrive academically and unlock their full potential.These experiences have deepened my understanding of the challenges faced by widows and their families. Through strategic program management, community engagement, and stakeholder collaboration, I have made a significant impact on the lives of widows, empowering them to lead more fulfilling lives.By highlighting the transformative power of targeted interventions and advocating for the rights of widows, I have developed a strong commitment to social impact and community development.
