  My role involved the design, installation and maintenance of supported websites that utilise background databases. The client list included government agencies such as North Eastern Health Board, Dept of Justice, Allied Irish Banks, and Bank of Ireland etc.By accurately interpreting briefs, liaising with managers and team members and proactively keeping abreast of new technologies I was able to provide recommendations and changes to enhance various projects. The role required me to be commercially aware, focused, efficient, self motivated and to have the confidence and initiative to both lead my team and give professional advice and direction to our clients. By effectively managing my time, prioritising tasks and accurately scoping projects I was able to ensure design schedules were consistently met. My experience in this position allowed me to enhance not only my technical ability but also my interpersonal skills through our client training days. Part of our scope as developers was also to provide our clients with full training on all aspects of the project. These training days incorporated both management and user level training. Show less

  ICT & Wordpress Trainer

  I have been delivering ICT Training in the FAS Training Centre, Dundalk through evening courses 2 nights a week. Each course lasts for 10 weeks and runs 1 night a week from 7pm - 10pm. I have been delivering ICT Training to 2 different skill sets. The Equalskills course is aimed at beginner level and the elderly age group. It is the first step for many of these people in gaining a beginner level knowledge of Computers and IT. It has become a stepping stone for many to advance into the Pre-ECDL and ECDL courses. The age group for this course has mainly been 40 - 60+ year olds. Topics included Computer Basics and File Management, Introduction to Documents including Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Access, The World Wide Web, eMail and The Internet.The Intro to Web Design course is targeted at clients with an intermediate level of computing. The course has been designed to introduce clients into the area of website design and website management through the Wordpress Software Framework. Topics included History of Web Design, Posts, Pages, Themes, Plugins, Hosting, Domain Name Registration and The Importance of Social Media for your business. Show less
