  One of eight students part of the Clinical Legal Education model in my last year at university. I administered pro bono legal advice to clients from the public who sought help on Criminal law matters. My responsibilities included client communication, legal research, conducting interviews, drafting letters and applications, and ultimately providing a solution to their problems where possible. This was a great learning curve and I am grateful for undertaking the training which taught me further about my duties as an acting Solicitor; providing necessary practical experience with legal writing. Although this role was demanding and emotionally complex, it was my favourite module and I could not recommend it enough. Show less

  Travelled to the UK based office of a US technology communications company. I became further educated on Intellectual Property and the telecommunications sector. Learning the national regulations required for these services whilst confronting jurisdictional conflicts in international deals.Main project being a spreadsheet including all countries where Evolve had telephone business and to update various data (e.g. active service, porting of numbers, international calling, etc.) Here I enjoyed pitching the significance of Corporate Social Responsibility and the benefits of businesses recycling.   Summer Legal Intern

  A week-long placement in the Property sector at a Regional Commercial firm. In the planning department I participated in client meetings to follow up with Attendance Notes for the supervising colleague. I had notable responsibility when amending a s38 (Highways Act) Agreement between a private company and a County Council for a case that I had on during the week. I thoroughly enjoyed learning from a Trainee Solicitor sat next to me!
