      Organic Chemistry Analyst - Environmental analysis of water and soil samples including testing for:- Diesel Range Organics (DRO) using Gas Chromatography (GC).- Petrol Range Organics (PRO) using GC.- polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).- Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) using Gas Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS).- Weekly calibrations prepared for GC and HPLC instruments and routine calibrations on other laboratory instruments including autopipettes, pipettes, precision syringes and timers.- Preventative maintenance conducted on lab instruments (column, septa and liner replacement) including HPLC, GC-FID, GC-MSD and GCxGC-FID.- Troubleshooting problems when instruments are malfunctioning.- join the team in the Inorganic Laboratory when required conducting Wet chemistry analysis including pH, conductivity, BOD, total solids, suspended solids and dust jar analysis.
