2006 - 2012Activities and Societies: Student Executive, Cricket Club, Buddying From 1st Year to 4th Year, along with taking part in Standard Grades and Intermediate classes, I was part of the School Cricket and Football Club. I also immersed myself within extra-curricular activites such as helping at Parent Evenings and representing the school within the community. I also immersed myself within extra-curricular activites such as helping at Parent Evenings and representing the school within the community. In 5th Year, my friend and I started a fundraising initiative for the Pakistani Floods in late 2011. This involved school presentations and daily collections during intervals and lunch. Furthermore, we held an 'Iftari' (breaking of fast) during the month of Ramadhan for the pupils of Shawlands, where I hosted a live conference call with the Head of Islamic Relief, Habib Malik who was in Pakistan at that current time. The following week a community fundraising dinner was held, inviting teachers, parents and businesses from around the community.In my final year as a pupil in Shawlands Academy, I was elected as School Captain, part of the Student Executive and Prom Committee. I researched Saai'time Pieces to gain a better insight into the brand value and vision, held several phone-call meetings with the company directors and was given the task to plan and organise Design Consultation Drop-in Sessions across the country. Prior to the sessions, I created mood-boards that would assist with the creative tools implemented during the sessions, as the 'word association', 'thought-showering' and the '6-3-5' design tools were used to spark the creative minds for those attending.The sessions were to aid with the brands' upcoming designs and gaining feedback on the whole customer experience, as the brand found great benefit and a direction to follow.
