  With my extensive underwriting and case management experience, it was a natural progression into the case design/internal sales role. In addition to my responsibilities as the DI Product Specialist, I also now assist our advisors with their life insurance quoting and case design needs. I am responsible for all pre-sale needs including quoting, underwriting inquires and marketing support. I also case manage all applications, and assist with contracting, underwriting, and policy service. As a senior case manager, I coordinated all aspects of the underwriting, case management, and implementation process for life, long-term care, disability insurance, and annuity new business. I maintained a caseload of 80-120 cases during underwriting which required engaging in frequent communication and coordination between insurance carriers, internal resources, outsource vendors and advisors. From application entry to requirement ordering and policy delivery, case managers owned the entire process. I frequently negotiated with underwriters to secure the best possible rate class, in turn boosting overall policy placement rate. I served as a main point of contact for our elite level producers, handling any high touch or high dollar cases, and developed the reputation as the person to go to with any question or concern.
