      As an Electrician "A" School Instructor, I empowered the future of 263 Coast Guard technicians, including 12 international students, accomplishing a 98% success rate and cultivating a skilled workforce for enhanced mission execution. Teach about safety practices, electrical theory, engineering administration, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and electrical equipment repair on all U.S. Coast Guard Cutters and land units. Engaged in 8 academic boards and addressed students' issues achieving a 100% resolution rate cultivating a supporting learning community and driving academic progress. As Electrician's Mate Class Advisor coached and mentored 42 students 5 international, molding them into competent Electrician’s Mate bolstering the unit’s electrical mastery and mission preparedness.USCG Training Center Yorktown (TCY) Officer of the day, acted as the direct representative of USCG TCY Commanding Officer, expertly handled 3 medical emergencies, deterred 2 felon base access, addressed 5 intoxicated personnel, resolved 3 main alarms, and conducted diligent rounds safeguarding more than 2,500 base personnel and more than 1 billion dollars in USCG Tracen assets and unit’s operational effectiveness. Revamped TCY OOD Quick Response Cards (QRCs), standardized 38 response guidelines, elevated more than 54 members' proficiency, and enhanced TCY’s Unit capability to promptly and proficiently address emergency scenarios. Show less As the Electrical Division Supervisor led a team of 5 electricians and ensured the Electric Power Plant on a 270 feet Medium Endurance CG Cutter was in constant safe proper operation for mission readiness. Consistently maintained a rate of 95% completion on electrical preventive maintenance. As an Electrical Safety Officer conducted training for 106 crew members on electrical safety practices, resulting in 0 personnel casualties during my 3-year tour onboard. Also supervised and conducted training evolutions on over 400 diverse Damage Control and Engineering Casualties scenarios for more than 100 service members. As the Command Senior Enlisted Leader acted as the Commanding Officer's principal enlisted advisor, keeping the Command informed of sensitive and current issues of a crew of 106. Advocated for the crew’s health, well-being, and professional development, providing recommendations to the Command while respecting and enforcing the Command’s decisions and enhancing the crew’s morale and performance. While volunteering as a Law Enforcement Boarding Team Member and Spanish Interpreter performed multiple law enforcement interventions and migrant operations, serving as a Spanish interpreter for over 50 migrants and detainees, mitigating difficult situations and preserving safety on board. Communicated effectively between CG Command and 40 civilian officials of more than 8 diverse countries, facilitating hundreds of thousands of dollars in food deliveries and Diesel Fuel. Acted as temporary funds manager and as primary unit purchase card holder processed 200 procurement requests, and provided vital parts and supplies for every shipboard division. Show less Supervised five junior Petty Officers through extensive cutter maintenance and repair projects consisting of 2,000 preventive and corrective maintenance actions and the replacement of four Main Diesel Engines, one ship’s service diesel generator, and one reduction gear onboard 110 feet Coast Guard Patrol Boat platforms, saving more than $350,000 in labor fees. As Unit Safety Coordinator, educated members on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, resulting in zero discrepancies during biannual safety and compliance inspections conducted by the District Safety Mobile Assistance Response and Training team. Also served as the unit’s training Petty Officer, coordinated, requested, and conducted onsite training for all unit personnel increasing qualifications of technicians and saving over $50,000 in travel expenses.
