  Justice Peace Solidarity in Mission Coordinator

  Coordinator of international Good Shepherd liaisons and evaluated the methods of integrating the macro level policy to the individual client. Advocated for more just international policies for disenfranchised women and children globally through active participation on NGO Committees and working groups. Co-founded the Working Group on Child Trafficking. Developed policy focus for the group, collaborated with members on strategic partnerships with UN Member Organizations, trained other participants on current trends and best practices in working with survivors of trafficking. Co authored a position statement for marketing purposes. Conducted briefings and trainings on trafficked children at the United Nations Commission on Social Development; working groups and conferences. Conducted migration caucus at the Commission on the Status of Women. During this event, I was the lead facilitator on a markup of a UN statement on migration concerning women and children. I fostered full collaboration of participants and led them in small work groups in order to provide UN Member countries input from the NGO community.   Coordinated processing of federal employee and contractor background check results through the Garrison’s Program Review Board (PRB). I determined the level of PRB review by examining individual’s derogatory background check results. I created PRB notification letters following federal memorandum standards on behalf of the Chief of Child and Youth Services. I also followed federal standard formatting in memorandums of board results of suitability/non suitability determinations by the PRB. I facilitated the report of results through the chain of command from the Director of Morale Welfare and Recreation to the Garrison Commander. Upon receiving of Garrison Commander signed suitability determinations, I uploaded the findings to the CRESR system for higher Army review and suitability determination. I regularly scheduled PRB meetings which consisted of chiefs of Department of the Army community partners. I created a local standard of annotating employee background checks in the CYS Child Youth Management Systems (CYMS). I created a CYS Chief approved guide for local implementation. Show less
