I share my experiences as a student on my course and answer enquiries they may have. I have delivered presentations on student life to an audience of 100+. The event I am most proud of is Nigerians in the Industry, where I reached out to alumni in different industries, including law, finance, engineering and medicine, who gave inspiring talks and mentorship to our members.

      This is a client-facing role in which I provide solutions to issues faced by library users at the front desk and lock up the library at 9pm. I represent the Campaigns and Alumni Relations Department at graduations. I work a stand where I encourage graduates to sign up for the alumni register while giving out goodie bags. I supervise the call team at the University of Sheffield. My job involves guiding the callers through the processes. I motivate and give feedback to the callers and ensure they stay on time. I also analyse the call notes and ensure that all actions are followed up and logged on correctly. Alumni Volunteering Assistant I updated alumni details with attention to detail, integrated AI to research and produce a visual analysis of information and created resources for events.

      Within two weeks, I was promoted to senior activity leader. This incorporates the role of activity leader with the addition of leading a team and being ultimately responsible for one of the four boarding houses. I led a team of three, and together we ensured that order was kept in the boarding house. FCLC runs an English summer camp for international students (aged 10-17). I was part of a team which ran activities for and took pastoral care of 250+ students from 10 different countries ranging from Spain to Japan. We also took them on weekend excursions around Scotland. I was adaptable and can now comfortably greet “good morning” and “goodnight” in 7 different languages. Because of my excellent work with the kids, I was voted and awarded the ‘Above and Beyond Award’.
