      CLIENT: Abazeny Project 1 - Outdoor Solar Shower I got to design an outdoor shower that uses sun energy to warm up water used for showering. This is because Middle-Europe summer temperatures can go to as low as below 25C while people still like to use their pools. I completed the whole engineering design of the main frame, composite panels and piping following manufacturing drawings and assembly manual. Thermodynamic calculations were completed by a separate engineer. Project 2 - Hovercraft I was in charge of a complete redesign study of a current hovercraft. Since the current hovercraft had not been 3D modelled I had to take all measures for the new study. The client required to use a newer version of Rotax engine, integrate headlamps and come up with a new external design of the product. I was asked to design a composite cover for the seat and a shape of the seat alone.       I was originally hired to create a PDM library of radial fans and heat exchangers in Solidworks from old paper based drawings. later on I was asked to assist fan and heat exchanger engineers with 3D modelling and drafting of new products. This also included liaising with technologists and workshop specialists to ensure all components are manufacturable. The largest project I had contributed on was modelling and drafting heat exchangers for atomic plant in Mochovce, Slovakia. Developed a program calculating stress analyses and generating PDF reports for heat exhanger components in order to demonstrate compliance with European Standards. Programmed and designed in Microsoft Visual Studio. This program is helping engineers with instant static stress calculations. Show less

      University Project 2009-2011Formula Student Composite FrameIn charge of implementing carbon composite materials onto a student formula vehicle in order to reduce total mass of the vehicle and increase frame stiffness. I designed a semi composite frame featuring CrMo steel tubes reinforced by carbon composite sandwich structures in critical areas. As part of the entire development I completed necessary calculations and FEA analyses following a testing of samples of designed structure in laboratory to validate analytical data. Torsional stiffness increased by 21% and mass reduced by 28% as opposed to the 1st generation of the project. I was also in charge of manufacturing the whole composite structure. I chose a technique using vacuum bagging for the best results on weight reduction. I led a team of a few students who participated on manufacturing the whole structure as well as other composite parts of the vehicle. In order to make sure the structure is perfectly bonded onto the CrMo steel frame I asked for advice Henkel Adhesives who gave me to chose from three options on adhesives. To chose the best adhesive I carried out shear testing of the adhesives on both composite-composite and composite-steel samples.
