  Supporting the Chief Risk Officer to ensure the Society operates an effective approach to risk management by: • Ensuring a strong second line of defence; providing appropriate oversight, support, challenge and assurance of the first line • Evolving, maintaining and operating a robust Risk Management Framework and associated processes• Ensuring the operational and conduct activities are compliant with good practice and regulatory expectations Working as part of a first line Quality Assurance Team. Additional responsibilities include: • Assisting with Consumer Duty implementation and process optimisation• End-to-end customer journey outcome testing • Involvement in annual/ad-hoc processes and system testing e.g. rate change, annual statements, system upgrades, audits• Supporting operational teams with business as usual activities during peak business volume periods Supporting the Head of Operations in managing first line operational risk and providing quality assurance for the Savings, Mortgage and Payment Support Teams.
