      Implementation of PacWaste (Pacific Hazardous Waste) a €7.85 million, a four-year project funded by the European Union to improve regional hazardous waste management across the Pacific in the priority areas of asbestos, healthcare waste, e-waste and integrated atoll waste management.Key achievements:Developed and implemented the PacWaste Project Communications Framework including strategic communication plans for asbestos management (13 countries), healthcare waste management (15 countries), e‐waste management (9 countries) and integrated atoll waste management (Republic of the Marshall Islands);Conducted regional communications training to representatives of 18 different Pacific island countries and territories.Developed and implemented a Pacific regional educational campaign called Smart Choices for a Cleaner and Safer Pacific.Served as SPREP Focal Point for the 2015 EU European Year for Development and Focal point for the EU-funded INTEGRE project centred on French speaking OCTs;Managed and developed project communication tools and media (website, newsletter, country profiles, media releases, production of documentary films);Worked as Chief Rapporteur for the Conference of the Parties to the Noumea Convention, Waigani Convention and 26th and 27th Annual SPREP Meetings;Accompanied Pacific island delegations to the Conference of the Parties to the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions in Geneva (2017) to prepare country interventions and manage media;Provided direct in-country technical assistance to Governments of Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Niue, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu;Assisted in the development of the project design for the EDF11 funded PacWaste Plus project.       Implementation of the European Union-funded EU-Australia Leadership Forum - a unique project inthe European Union's suite of public diplomacy actions. The Forum's overall objective is to broadenand deepen the existing ties between Australia and the EU and help shape the future of the bilateral relationship in the context of the EU-Australia Framework Agreement and ongoing EU-Australia FTA negotiations.Key achievements to date:Developed and coordinated the first EU-Australia Sectoral Policy Workshop on Circular Economy and Plastics. This event brought together high-level participants from Australia and the EU to discuss European and Australian perspectives on tackling the plastics problem, ahead of the official EU-Australia macroeconomic dialogue.Chaired the international symposium discussion on the EU-Australia Framework Agreement at theUniversity of Melbourne, Australia.Managed media and communications for the 2018 EU-Australia Leadership Forum in Brussels,Belgium.
