  As a Geographic Information System Specialist I worked in 3GIS, ArcMap, and AutoCAD to map and splice fiber optic cable design. I also assessed the quality of internal GIS work as well as our vendor submitted permit builds. Daily Tasks:‣ Digitized fiber cable path permits in 3GIS for new site additions and existing map edits.‣ Created high level design cable blueprints in ArcMap that maximized fiber sizes to reduce construction costs for clients.‣ Drew cable splicing schematics using ArcMap to represent permits, live map data, and in-field splicing images.‣ Extracted both ground and aerial feature data using Orbit Mobile Mapping and LiDAR Point Cloud software data.‣ Edited and QCed both internal and vendor work for all of the tasks listed above.
