      Led the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program (http://scs.georgetown.edu/bals), a bachelor’s degree program for working adults with emphasis on development of critical and creative thinking. Recruited new students, reached admissions decisions on applicants, and provided academic advising to enrolled students. Formulated strategy, policies, plans and procedures for the program. Responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating the program, including online and blended hybrid courses. Established program- and course-level goals and evaluated progress toward those goals. Key accomplishments:--Secured a $1 million endowment and $150,000 in annual grants for student scholarships from the Bernard T. Osher Foundation.--Deployed the program’s first fully online courses, increasing enrollment.--Implemented more than 100 new courses, taught by approximately 50 faculty members screened and trained under my direction.--Created strategic new links with local community colleges, including the signing ofarticulation agreements, leading to increased applications from those institutions.--Conceived and led an effort to develop a writing class keyed to the needs of wounded veterans at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Collaborated with veteran stakeholders, regulators, and university officials--Led outreach to veteran students throughout the university and the School of Continuing Studies’ full acceptance of the Yellow Ribbon benefit for qualified veterans.--Collaborated with subject-matter experts to develop and deploy new degree concentrations in leadership, entrepreneurship, business, communications, and urban analysis, including defining curricular requirements, developing new courses implementing the requirements, and recruiting new faculty to teach the courses--Achieved high student satisfaction rates of 85 percent or more Show less
