  • Conducted a project to increase the thermostability of human lactate dehydrogenase by successfully mutating Leu190 of human LDH to Ile190 with PCR. - Circular Dichroism spectroscopy showed results that the melting point of our mutated Ile190 LDH increased by 5.2°C as compared to the wild type. • Researched on the effects of single point mutations on Myopalladin, specifically the Ig3 domain that are linked to a few cardiomyopathies in humans with biochemical techniques. - Purified protein with Ni-Column and HPLC (S-Column Chromatography) procedures. - Following purification, the mutant is incubated with F-actin, with varying concentrations of both actin and myopalladin to generate actin cosedimentation assays and data was analyzed using ImageJ software to assess binding affinity and bundling activity.
