      I was promoted within 2 years from Assistant Director to Director to serve as the head of the Leadership Training & Development department. In this position, I held full responsibility for the strategic and financial leadership of the association’s premier volunteer training program. HIGHLIGHTS:★ Led the department for 3 years in increasing attendance at the 5 regional conferences held each year by 10%, with each conference averaging between 50 and 75 attendees. Results: Increase in members’ awareness of the association’s various programs and overall value.★ Developed and delivered leadership training programs to association leaders on the topics of Board Governance, Effective Meetings, Membership Development Programs, and Volunteer Management. HIGHLIGHTS:★ Worked directly with senior leaders and an external consultant to design and implement strategic / operational planning processes, including leadership of Board Planning Retreats and all-staff planning activities for 8 years. Achieved a substantial improvement in transparency among key internal stakeholders and operational efficiencies, as well as transforming a 2-year deficit into a surplus.★ Developed and implemented a process to enhance customization of professional development offerings by key constituent segments. In this role, I also serve as the “face” and primary spokesperson for the organization, delivering keynotes, professional development programs, and associations to state-regional-national-global audiences.HIGHLIGHTS:★ Developed an aggressive direct mail marketing campaign and invested in well-regarded membership benefits. Drove a 13% increase in membership and a year-end surplus gain.★ Re-branded the annual conference from “Symposium” to “NBOA Annual Meeting” and launched an aggressive sponsorship program that focused on the most loyal business partners. Achieved a 37% increase in attendance in 1 year and a 250% revenue gain as a result.★ Built strong, sustainable relationship with the Board Chair, engaged directly with every Board member, and provided monthly communications to the entire Board. Standardized the structure and direction for Board work while significantly improving Board-CEO relations.★ Transformed the association’s staffing model from serving a few schools to one that served numerous organizations.
