Complaints and comments from external agencies, host families or guardians of clients at the school would also be dealt with as part of my role. Another factor was inputting the data from the feedback forms from students.

    • EFPSA Junior Researcher Programme

      Aug 2012 - Aug 2013
      Junior Researcher

Starting in July 2012, a research project on the stigma held by university students on schizophrenia was designed and myself, along with six other international students, have been working to developing a paper that will add to the existing literature on the topic. In August 2013, the preliminary results were presented at a conference at the University of Cambridge. Here I also embarked on a different research project, the Global Health Access Policy for 5-week at the University and also affiliated with RAND Europe. This project is still underway and my focus is on International Quality Standards within Medical Travel. Show less

The children residing at the residence were between 9 and 13 and had various diagnoses ranging from attention deficit disorder, global developmental delay, psychosis, anxiety disorders and others. My job included managing their day-to-day issues along with liaising with the professionals involved in their treatment (psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists and social workers). Communication with the parents and/or social contacts was also important. I also had the responsibility of writing reports for the children and taking part in case review sessions that included all the stakeholders in the child's life. Show less
