This was at the end of a 9-year period of engagement with Exemplary record and after having achieved the rank of Corporal. Airframes and propulsion (including piston engines). Successfully completed the apprenticeship and passed out having gained an H/TEC in Aerospace Studies (Mechanical).

In addition, approximately 40 privately owned aircraft were also maintained and therefore acted as the customer liaison person. Responsible for the completion and monitoring of all relevant aspects of maintenance documentation, continuing airworthiness data and log books.Oversaw the transition of the maintenance organisation from BCAR M3 approval to EASA Part-M Subpart F and Subpart G (with I approval) approvals, including the writing of the Maintenance Organisation Exposition and Continuing Airworthiness management Exposition.   Within the role of Chief Engineer for AAA Ltd and following the company’s appointment as the Tecnam UK, Ireland and Iceland dealer, liaised with the Tecnam factory in all aspects of technical support for Tecnam aircraft. This included looking after the import of new aircraft onto the UK register, technical and spares support for the Tecnam range in the UK dealer sales area and assisting the Tecnam factory with the proof reading of technical manuals. This work continued when Chief Engineer for ATS Ltd, from early 2015 to 2017, once again liaising directly with the Tecnam factory in all aspects of technical support for UK Tecnam supplied aircraft (UK, Ireland and Iceland). This included overseeing all aspects of the importation of new aircraft onto the UK register and technical and spares support for the Tecnam range in the UK sales area.   In addition to the tasks accomplished in my previous role of LAA Airworthiness Engineer: responsible for all aspects of continuing airworthiness of the LAA Engineering team. This includes acting as the lead LAA liaison person with the AAIB, training of new airworthiness department personnel and formulating new procedures and forms to ensure compliance with the CAA and company approval requirements, such as the introduction of a BCAR Section A3-7 compliant Permit to Fly revalidation process. Hosted webinars on various airworthiness subjects for LAA Inspectors, including the revised Permit to Fly revalidation process and how to complete worksheets and logbooks.
