       HR Director for two business units of SAIC (2200+ employees). Total revenue for both BUs was ~$1.5B. Employees were located in approximately 30 locations worldwide. Managed all facets of human resources including labor law compliance, employee relations, program capture and implementation, management development and training, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic planning. Developed and maintained human resources procedures for two business units and supervised a staff of eight. Ensured that our organization’s procedures were in compliance with all company policies and federal/state laws. Investigated employee relations issues and complaints, wrote detailed investigative summaries and advised management on employment actions. Wrote performance letters for management, designed performance improvement plans, attended employee counseling sessions with managers, conducted mediation sessions between employees, counseled employees at all levels, and responded to employee concerns. Defended legal personnel actions (EEOC and demand letters) in conjunction with in-house counsel. Prepared defense materials, attended depositions, and drafted response letters. Ensured that salary levels and job positions were in alliance, conducted compensation audits, analyzed jobs to determine FLSA status, and counseled supervising employees on salary issues relating to performance appraisals and recruiting. Prepared transition plans for large capture efforts. Developed HR strategy for large program execution. Certified SAIC Ethics Trainer. Conducted numerous management training sessions in the areas of employee relations, performance management, engagement and inclusion, and labor law compliance. Teamed with senior management on strategic planning for the organization including ways to improve financials and increase profits through staffing changes and overall organizational planning.
