      I originally went to Edinburgh Park for 2 weeks of work placement as part of my degree. I was then employed to attend the magic millions horse sales and prep the horses over my summer break. This was an amazing experience and gave me an even bigger insight into the thoroughbred world.

      At CSU I had the opportunity to work at the equine clinic. I mostly did stable hand work, looking after the numerous horses that came through. I had the opportunity to help vets and students on occasion with the horses. I also completed one week of work experience as a vet nurse. During this week I was involved in a number of surgeries, lameness examinations, ultrasounds and X-rays. This was an invaluable experience in gaining knowledge and guiding me in my career choices.
