  I joined my local Tesco store in the Stock Control department on a temporary contract. I was part of the multi-skilled team of colleagues, manning the checkouts in addition to my main role during busy periods.This part-time job was to supplement my continuing search for a graduate level career, to demonstrate my willingness to work and to increase my experience of working in the real world.I have left this position due to a family move away from the North Wales area. Unfortunately a transfer to another store was not possible. However, I look forward to working with Tesco come September 2017 in my Graduate Finance role. Show less

  I am the Finance Business Partner for Tesco Cafes, covering the estate of >300 cafes and the central head office team. My role is multi-faceted covering, among others; budget, forecast, long term planning, capital projects, economic modelling, scenario planning and reporting improvements.Working in a hospitality environment through the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has proved challenging but rewarding, I have stretched myself and flexed with the business' needs.   FP&A Manager

  I was the FP&A manager for a small pre-revenue biotech startup. Alongside the financial controller I set up the chart of accounts. I then used this to build the Management Accounts process to track actual spend vs forecast and budget. I was also in charge of compiling the company extended budget (a 2 year budget in between a long term plan and a 1 yr budget), with an active element of business partnering to discuss costs and timings with the operations team (based in Manchester).

  I partner with clients to build their FP&A solution in the software Vena. Vena is a highly customisable financial planning system. This has an excel front-end and effectively means I have had a lot of exposure to different FP&A planning techniques and layouts across many companies. Alongside the classically FP&A excel front end, I have worked with the back-end of the system and routinely set this up for clients to organise and structure their data in a dimensional framework.
