    • FAC365 LTD

      Jan 2012 - Jan 2015
      Sound Engineer

My roles ranged from preparing equipment to go out on hire, maintaining, fixing and training people how to use it, to operating it in the field - either in a studio facility, an outside broadcast or remote operations on location. I also helped in the office, assisting with bookings and day to day paperwork. I developed and delivered corporate training programmes for ITV, and the BBC to help them manage and maintain their set ups. Working in the field for live broadcast honed my ‘guerrilla audio’ skills - making do with what you have, finding a way, whatever the circumstances. Show less

After leaving fac365, I set up my own limited company and bought some of my own kit, including Spot On software and Pro Tools to make roll away kits for recording large track counts and playback. These were used on some very high profile events, both live and pre recorded. I also continue to operate as a gram op for LE and sport, having worked on the Brazilian olympics, the Winter Olympics in South Korea, Premier League football, managing the crowd effects for the some of the games during the Covid 19 pandemic, the Queen’s 90th Birthday, and the 75th Anniversary celebrations for D-Day. I was also nominated for a BAFTA award as part of the sound team for ITV’s The Sound of Music Live. Show less

      Sound Designer

I worked with North One TV to create a variety of sound fx used in the Formula E season to match the graphics before, during and after the race. It was great to meet the challenges of such a new technology, working with the augmented reality, and also to create a sound that matched the excitement of the new cars. A thoroughly enjoyable project.
