  Worked within Jamie Thomson’s regenerative biology lab under Dr. Katie Vermillion. The model organism used to study developmental properties in the lab was a chicken embryo. Assisted with in situ hybridization reactions, performed polymerase chain reactions, restriction enzyme digestion, mini prep plasmid procedure, agarose gel electrophoresis, Nanodrop spectrophotometer among other lab duties.

  In the fabrication lab at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery building I spend a lot of time working with 3D printers. I clean parts, set up and design build files and plates for 3D printing.In the fabrication lab at the Morgridge Institute for research we have a 3D Systems Viper printer (SLA), Stratasys F123 Series printer (FDMA), an Ultimaker 3 (FDMA), and a Form 2 (SLA) I fabricate designs using SolidWorks and perform general maintenance in the lab space. I also use SolidWorks to design and prepare vector files or drawing exchange files (DXF) to be laser cut or engraved. Show less
