      Project Manager / Event host

      During the second semester of the program the whole class (27 students) worked together on a project. This project aimed to create a business event with a theme to inspire local companies to start developing their export business. I was chosen as the project manager and host for the event and drove the entire project with very successful results. The whole class planned together from scratch and organized a place for the event, partners (Almi, Swedish Trade Council, The Chamber of Commerce and Uppsala Municipality), sponsorship revenue, food, entertainment and three lecturers including the founder of Ice Hotel, Yngve Bergqvist. The project was incredibly rewarding for me and was also very time consuming. I learned how to lead a sharp project from start to finish and to delegate and group your project members. The event attracted about 150 business representatives and all partners, sponsors and the Folkuniversitetet Management was very pleased with the results and the return on their participation.       The first internship during my studies I did at Middax. A local company in Uppsala that creates and delivers groceries with recipes and ingredients to consumers in the Uppland area. I was working with marketing and business development and learned how to work with a company's development on my own when Middax as a small start-up company gave me a lot of responsibility. I did a qualitative market research on existing clients, compiled several B2B collaborations, developed the communication on the company website, ads and newsletters, worked with social media and public relations, which led to two newspaper articles with great return. When I after eight weeks was finished with my internship, we had doubled the company's monthly turnover and developed new procedures and routines for logistics and packaging.After my internship at Middax I have during my studies remained within the company and worked on projects and participated in meetings as much as I’ve been able too. I participate in planning marketing strategies as well as the activities to be executed, I’m in contact with clients and participate in various smaller projects. Show less

      During my studies, I did my second internship at Hays Specialist Recruitment. This field of work was a little different than what I had been studying which gave me a lot of valuable knowledge. I learned the recruitment process and got to follow the recruitment consultant’s daily work flow with interviews, checking references, searching/sourcing, headhunting and how it works when you have to sell candidate profiles as a product. I also made a number of marketing related tasks with successful results, such as an evaluation and review of Hays Swedish intranet site.       Working within the field of retail development for the brand Club Monaco, one of the many brands included in the Ralph Lauren portfolio. I am part of a global organization spread all over Europe and New York working on the launch and establishment of Club Monaco Men's and women's apparel and accessories onto the European market, the brand has already been established in North America and Asia. In my role I have functioned as a Retail Coordinator with a lot of own responsibility in a central role where I provide support and take part in implementing monthly retail concepts within over 60 point of sale spread over Europe. I coordinate projects such as training seminars, store window concepts; being redesigned every month, collaborate with marketing & sales to coordinate marketing materials for the stores, monitor and drive retail sales, working with new retail projects and maintenance of existing ones, budget monitoring, invoice coordination. I also manage the contact and administration with suppliers, clients etc. I have built up structure and set up new routines, built great relationships internally as well as with wholesale partners, vendors etc. I have had to demonstrate great communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to organize, structure, administrate, take initiative and to work proactively in a high pace. Worked within the field of retail development as a Project Coordinator and Retail development assistant for the brand Club Monaco, one of the many brands included in the Ralph Lauren portfolio. I came in during a very hectic period as the European launch and retail roll-out had just started during spring 2012 and we opened around 50 concept stores and shop-in-shops only during the short period of March-April 2012 spread across Europe. In my role I have functioned as a project coordinator with a lot of own responsibility in a central role where I mainly provide support to my manager but also to the spread out organization.
