  On site engineer for the Captiva Island beach restoration project. This involved inspections and liaison between the contractor (Norfolk Dredging Company), the client (Captiva Erosion Control District) and the permitting agencies. Supervised, as inspecting engineer, the construction of groin structures at Blind Pass Inlet and the removal of a breakwater. Worked on the preparation and implementation of North Boca Raton Beach Restoration Project. Supervised the construction of a groin structure and an artificial reef at Red Reef Park. Assisted in preparation of permit applications to FL DNR, DER, US Army Corps of Engineers, and US Coast Guard. Permit preparation included federal hearings and court cases. Show less

  Project manager representing the consulting engineer for a proposed lake mining project in South Dade county that includes 1,200 acres of wetland restoration in the C-111 Basin. Also worked on several beach restoration projects and prepared Port Everglades Inlet Management Plan, including sediment budget, analysis of currents and wave conditions, engineering evaluation of alternative sand bypassing systems, and economic analysis. Evaluated the performance of the Sunny Isles Beach Restoration Project in Dade County, and the erosion protection from the PEP Reef structure, West Palm Beach. Show less

  Working as a project manager and a water resources engineer providing planning and engineering support for the Central Everglades Restoration Plan (CEPP), Loxahatchee River, Everglades Forever Act (EFA), Lake Okeechobee Protection Act (LOPA), and Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP). Responsibilities include representing the Department in workgroups and committees, providing technical engineering review of plans and specifications, reviewing and issuing permits where applicable, and coordinate and implement compliance inspections for CERP, EFA and LOPA construction projects.
