  Served as a member of Gambia’s USAID Special Projects Assistance Committee, which reviewed grants and allocated $23,000 of funds for water and sanitation community development projects. Designed and implemented comprehensive technical training programs for 30+ volunteers, and collaborated with programming teams to support 100 volunteers nationwide on project design, management and grant proposal development. Served on interview and review board for local staff hires. Coordinated agroforestry, horticulture and rural development projects with traditional and indigenous communities including elders, women, youth and community organizations with several Gambian tribes. Served as a community liaison to environmentally focused governmental and non-governmental organizations. Received technical training on natural resource management, sound agricultural practices, community and human capacity development, food security, project design and management.
