  As part of the Core Team of Aaveg ’22, we inducted and coordinated the 90 first year students who organized over 50 events for nearly 1100 students. Managed admin relations, treasury & accounting, event scheduling and videography amongst a host of other duties. As part of the Organizing Committee of Aaveg ’21, we helped ideate, organize, and execute nearly 50 events for over 1200 students. Also handled event scheduling, videography, online outreach, and created promotional videos.

  As a Content Manager of Festember ’22, I mentor and guide the upcoming batch of content writers and coordinate with other teams to increase the outreach of various events.   Coordinating with a team of over 200 students across 10 sub-teams for the smooth functioning of Mettle, the Department’s National Level Technical Symposium with a footfall of over 1000. Design and run new events, lectures, and workshops to generate awareness and enrich students with the latest developments and opportunities in Metallurgy and Materials Science. Working as a Co Head of the Content Team of Mettle ‘22, the National Level Technical Symposium of the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, NIT-Trichy. The team focused on putting out the latest edition of our annual magazine - Metallica 2022, replete with several detailed articles on the most interesting areas of research and development in the materials science field. Working as a Coordinator of the Event & Guest Lectures Team of Mettle ‘22, the National Level Technical Symposium of the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, NIT-Trichy. The symposium succeeded with 5 innovative events including a Machine Learning Contest and several renowned guest speakers talking about their cutting edge research from all across the globe.

  Indian Summer School on Cellular Automata 2022

  Underwent a rigorous, four-week summer school to grasp the fundamental concepts of Cellular Automata. Following this, I have chosen a project that explores the applications of Cellular Automata in the characterization of the mechanical behaviour of materials. This work aims to qualitatively model the propagation of Intergranular Cracks along the grain boundaries in polycrystalline systems using 19-state hexagonal cellular automata. A rule for cracking that decides between two or more paths at grain boundary junctions based on difference in grain orientation has been implemented in Python 3 with the pygame library. Show less

  Winter Research Intern

  The synthesis of permanent magnets often involves rare earth metals which can be uneconomical or pose significant threats to the environment. After performing a literature survey on the synthesis of rare earth free permanent magnets, an iron or cobalt alloy based permanent magnet is synthesised using mechanical alloying methods and its relevant mechanical and magnetic properties will be characterized.

  Heading a team of 10 creative managers to produce and curate content for Sportsfete ’23, the Annual Inter-Departmental Sports Festival of NIT-Trichy. Coordinating with 8 other teams to boost the online presence of our social media accounts using Search Engine Optimization and improve public outreach. Published op-ed pieces on the official Medium blog, hosted various events and guest lectures and trained commentators for live matches.
