      Blogger

The New Weird is a blog about all things weird, wonderful and most importantly, historic. We aim to shed light on to the weird histories of unusual places, conspiracy theories, curious artefacts and murders to provide insight into the ways in which the strange, the extraordinary and the macabre aspects of history has influenced our thinking today. Here at The New Weird, we are passionate about learning about the skeletons which lurk in the dark closet of human history. We also want to create a positive community of people who share our love for all things weird and wonderful where we can discuss, learn and challenge each other to delve deeper into the weird! • International Slavery Museum

      Jan 2018 - now

During my time so far as an ambassador for the International Slavery Museum I have created the Seeds of Change Zine alongside local artists to shed light on female activists in Liverpool. Using oral testimonies I was able to present those women's stories in an easily digestible way for younger audiences, but also still relatable for older readers, with the aim to inspire activism. I also helped create the Civil Rights and Freedom Fights Card game alongside the other ambassadors to shed light on the Civil Rights movement. I have also been able to write for the Sankofa blog. Currently I am working on a Podcast with the Black Liver Birds to highlight activism in Merseyside. Show less
