  Part of leadership team for equipment building business of Bosch India. Headed SPM manufacturing responsible for component manufacturing, Assembly, tryout and commissioning of machines, test equipments and assembly lines. Also Responsible for Process planning for machine and tooling components. Also responsible for maintenance of SPM and toolroom machines. Headed a team of 112 employees (32 Engineers and 80 associates). Ex. Transmission gear box assembly line, high speed switch gear components assy and welding equipment, nozzle spray hole drilling spm, aqueous cleaning machine.During these four years apart from building critical machining, testing and Assembly equipments for Auto OEMs and Bosch, we ventured and successfully supplied equipment for electrical component making to a multinational resulting in repeated equipment orders. New systems for Lessons learnt capturing and using in future projects was implemented to avoid repeated mistakes and improve throughput time.   Started and heading Special Purpose Machine (SPM) cell with output doubling every year. Based on the successes in last 3 years, the group's top management is highly appreciative of the SPM teams capability . Hence the division is slated for aggressive growth for up to 2020. The team is responsible for design and development of process, machines and tooling for 5 distinct product divisions of the company. Objective includes developing equipment to process newly developed products and processes, localisation of critical imported machines, providing technological support to SBU teams to achieve operational excellence and provide tooling development support for critical and new projects. Provide equipment sourcing support to SBU’s in terms of vendor selection, concept finalization and prove out of the machine. During last four years, starting from scratch, have groomed and developed a Machine development team including mechanical and electrical system designers, sourcing, assembly and prove-out teams. Have put in place a complete product realization system for Special Purpose Machines/Tooling . The team has designed and executed many high level projects resulting in high order of process capability improvements and process step eliminations there by ensuring high value addition/step and reduce waste. The Machine localization projects have enabled our designers to developed capability to global standards and enabled our businesses to add customized product features without having to depend on outside machine builders. The team was greatly appreciated and rewarded by the company on many occasions for these contributions.
