  A Government Project- Swachh Bharat Mission - Gramin (SBM-G)a (www.swachhbharatmission.gov.in) -The ‘Clean India Mission’ was a country-wide campaign from 2014 to 2019 to improve solid waste management in urban and rural areas across India, promote awareness and motivate communities to adopt sustainable sanitation practices and encourage the use of relevant technologies for sanitation.1. Managed office and site work in line with government rules and regulations2. Followed up with the District Rural Agency’s work orders and implemented all works outlined in the orders– worked within a multi-disciplinary team3. The objectives of the mission also included eradication of manual scavenging, generating awareness and bringing about behavioral changes around sanitation practices4. Government subsidies enabled people in rural and urban areas to construct toilets within the scheme’s parameters – Civil Engineering duties included checking the construction of personal toilets and public toilet buildings to ensure compliance with Government rules and guidelines, preparing and submitting progress reports to Gujarat Province Government Administration about block and district household toilet construction awareness and achieving targeted numbers of constructed toilets5.
