  I worked with the Mechatronics Research Centre at Loughborough to develop a novel surface profile measurement system for a high speed smart woodworking planer. My research work led to the publication of several journal papers in control systems and surface measurement.

  Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate

  I worked during this period on a knowledge transfer partnership project between the University of Bath and Spirax-Sarco Ltd. I managed the introduction of new and innovative sensing technologies to Spirax’s steam flow meters and helped the company’s R&D division to develop a new generation of meters.

  Supporting the local network committee to hold various events across the region. As part of this role, I lead a team of highly dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to deliver relevant events across the region. We also serve as the interface between the IET staff and younger members in the region. I have been working in this role to promote IET events and services to the members in the region. I have successfully held a number of events including professional registration evenings, lectures and tours over the years. My main aim has been to encourage engagement of younger members in particular to the activities of the institution.

  I am was responsible for managing distribution partners and developing Spirax's steam business in the Western Balkan region and Pakistan. I was responsible for the delivery of larger projects in thermal energy management for Spirax UK & ROI. A year-long secondment in the Technical Sales team to undergo training in a more customer-facing role. I was responsible for the delivery of various projects allied to control, instrumentation and energy recovery within the research group.
