  Fluent in French, I was assigned to look after the Vermilion French assets acquired in 1997. My priority was to find new ways and bring innovative solutions to develop the Aquitaine and Paris oil basins. The role involved the development and promotion of novel economic solutions in the drilling and completion of oil and gas wells and elaborate yearly activity budgets (30 to 80 MM Euro) to compensate production decline. Production grew from 5000 BOED in 2001 to over 7000 BOED in 2005 to 10,000 BOED in 2007. Developed new technologies in the horizontal wells stimulation of the Dogger carbonates and brought production to wells where it had previously no presence. First to design and apply hydraulic fracture stimulation, and Underbalanced drilling concepts for Vermilion France with great success in the Triassic sandstone formation in the Paris basin. Submitted a full well technology Concepts for Field Development Plan (drilling. completion, stimulation, artificial lift). Provided expert knowledge to the operational readiness program therefore ensuring organizational capability to safely and effectively operate assets as delivered by GLNG Upstream development project.   Unconventional Field Development - D&C Specialist (2013/2014)

  This role involved the overall planning and execution and evaluation of complex drilling and completion projects for the unconventional Duvernay and Montney plays in Alberta. My added value included the stimulation design, program preparation, equipment selection and post-well reviews to improve performance. In this position, I had to draw from my well-developed skill set in fracturing design and technology, and the continuous improvement mentality.- Designed and executed 4 appraisal multi-stage horizontal wells in the tight siltstone Montney play that lead to $150MM asset sale deal between Enerplus and Progress energy.- Designed and executed 2 appraisal multi-stage horizontal wells in the Duvernay shale play which constituted a new ground breaking for Enerplus.- Performed a through a technical and budgets review, reported all cost over runs to the management, while also ensuring the control of ongoing drilling & completion expenditure on each contract. Submitted final reports with emphasis on ensuring high levels of data quality and that lessons learned are captured in dedicated software. Show less
