      Worked in the Surface Transport Division alongside an experience Project Manager who showed me the ropes. I managed an team of contractors that were hired to evaluate the Tottenham Gyratory Scheme, the findings and recommendations were presented to the Mayor of London. I was tasked with presenting the information in an easy to digest format, to allow the Mayor to make a decision. The Project Management Office within TFL gave me the grounding I needed to appreciate why governance and compliance are so important in a project. Show less

      Powertec is a small family run firm that provides software to the NHS.I was hired to create and manage a strategic project plan for the development of an on-line e-rostering solution. An appropriate governance structure was created based on Prince 2 methodologies. I created progress reports to highlight the strengths, weaknesses, risks and the overall delivery plan was adapted to minimise the negative impact on delivery. I lead a team of four developers, we used agile methodologies to chunk up their work. Each developer had different skills, we worked closely as a team with the IT director to ensure their individual development needs were met. All IT projects have their ups and downs, I was key in keeping the team motivated, on track and focused on the scope of the project. I worked closely with the software Implementer to create Delivery documentation to guide others through an NHS trust wide implementation of the solution. The Directors quickly saw I was more than just a Project Manager and involved me in other areas of the business: recruitment, marketing, sales, product development & training. Whilst working at Powertec I began to identify what makes a business successful and what compliance structure is needed to ensure others know what their role is and what impact they can make.       I worked alongside the Operations Director to understand what our clients do to identify how their business can be improved by the automation of business processes. I took creative ideas and transferred them into a functional specification that was used by our developers and designers to deliver the solution. Once a small unknown company in Yorkshire, Frog now have a global learning platform watched by several ministries of education. As a dynamic individual that can easily adapt to any environment my role has evolved to fit the businesses needs.My Frog journey began as an Implementation Project Manager, leading bespoke implementation of learning platforms to a wide variety of customers; such as cluster purchases, overseas customers and schools requiring development work. For 3 years, I worked directly with schools to create their own delivery plan to meet their objectives. Working closely with members of the Senior Leadership Team to understand the impacts Frog's learning platform has in a school; identifying the value the solution can bring to stakeholders.
