  Internship

  At American Water, as an intern, I took on two different positions. During my first couple of weeks I worked with New Jersey American Water where I researched articles written on American Water, I wrote press releases as well as articles for the company's intranet site and I also wrote articles for the weekly newsletter. I also attended an event with the company's water truck where I conversed with people from all over about the company's water as I passed out water cups and other merchandise. For the remainder of my internship, I spent my time working in the corporate office of American Water. While I was there I focused on proofreading, creating posts to put on the social media platforms, creating surveys, working with Excel and attending meetings within the company and with The Star Group where we discussed the design and contents of American Water's blog.   As a social media intern at Market at the Fareway, I was in charge of creating and managing social media ad campaigns to increase followers and interaction for the Chestnut Hill Hotel and Market at the Fareway, brainstorming methods to collect email addresses to create a mailing list, conducting market research better understand the customers and finding vendors to lease the remaining space in the Market at the Fareway.
